A young Egyptian composer, born October 9th.

Proved his talent in composing through the producing, arranging and collaborating of songs and albums with artists including Amr Diab, Hossam Habib, Angham, Sherine, Abdel Mejid Abdallah and Nancy Ajram.

El Shafei was presented with Best Music Producer/Arranger at the Middle East Music Awards in 2009. He was also announced winner of Best Music Arranger by DG Magazine in both 2007 and 2009.

The club scene in the 1990s knew Hassan El Shafei as ‘The Saint’ - the talented producer behind the hit song “My Ecstasy”, that took the electronic music scene by storm in 2000.

He currently joins Ahlam and Ragheb Alama on Arab Idol’s judging panel.
